THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE BEGINNING A PARASITE CLEANSE
Things to Consider Before Beginning Your Parasite Cleanse
1. Bile Salts - Taking bile salts before a parasite cleanse can be helpful for some people, though it is not universally necessary. You may benefit from taking bile salts if you have: chronic constipation, bloating or nausea after fatty meals, no gallbladder, or long-term gut issues. If you are experiencing headaches, nausea, skin breakouts and extreme fatigue, this means the toxins aren’t being cleared well and you may benefit from adding bile salts to your cleanse.
Suggested Use (Day Before Cleanse): Take 1 capsule three times daily with your meals. Begin the day before you start your cleanse and continue for 3 – 4 days.
Why They Help:
- Bile salts help open and support bile flow.
- When parasite tinctures kill microbes, they can release endotoxins that may slow or block bile ducts.
- Poor bile flow can cause nausea, headaches, and fatigue during a cleanse (commonly called “die-off”).
- Keeping bile moving may reduce negative reactions and support smoother detoxification.
2. Epsom Salts (Food grade) - Using Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) as a colon cleanse is sometimes suggested when doing a parasite cleanse, especially if you have issues with your bowels moving regularly. When parasites die, they release waste and toxins. If the colon is sluggish, these toxins may be reabsorbed into the bloodstream, worsening symptoms. If your bowel isn’t moving regularly during a parasite cleanse, you increase the risk of:
- Toxicity
- Inflammation
- Headaches and nausea
- Fatigue or flu-like symptoms
- Reduced effectiveness of the cleanse
Typical Use: Begin the night before starting the cleanse and continue for 4-5 days depending on how regular your bowel movements are. If you are quite regular, this may not be necessary.
- 2–4 teaspoons dissolved in a full glass of water, taken before bedtime.
- Dosage varies based on age, weight, and sensitivity.
Supporting bowel movement is essential for safely eliminating toxins during a parasite cleanse.
Alternative approaches to Epsom salt:
Gentler bowel support: Magnesium citrate, herbal laxatives (like cascara sagrada), or fiber can support bowel movements without the intensity of Epsom salts.
If Epsom salt is too strong or not suitable, gentler options include:
- Magnesium citrate (gentle and effective)
- Magnesium hydroxide (Milk of Magnesia)
Tip:
Start with small doses at night and adjust based on bowel movements.
3. Binders- (Activated Charcoal or Bentonite Clay)- During a parasite cleanse, it can help bind dead parasites, eggs, and toxic compounds released by the herbs. It can also reduce bloating, gas, or mild nausea caused by the cleanse. It is best taken every other night 2 – 3 hrs after your last dose of tincture. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water as Epsom salt and charcoal can dehydrate. If stools get too loose, reduce Epsom salt. If stools get too firm, reduce charcoal.
Do not take activated charcoal if you are on prescription medications without approval from a healthcare provider—it can bind or inactivate them.
You should be able to buy all three of these ingredients at any health food or supplement store.
Cautions and Warnings
- Consult a healthcare professional before beginning a cleanse if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have gallstones or other bile-related conditions, are taking blood thinners or protease inhibitors, or have diabetes.
- Discontinue use and seek medical advice if symptoms persist or worsen.
Do Not Use If
- You have a bile duct obstruction, cholangitis, liver disease, stomach or duodenal ulcers, or excessive stomach acidity.
Possible Reactions
- If you are allergic or sensitive to wormwood (or other plants in the Compositae family such as daisies), garlic, or cassia cinnamon, stop using this product immediately if any signs of an allergic reaction occur.
